Clinical Interventions

Classically, psychotherapy aspires to make the client conscious of the unconscious by free expression or by identifying the transference relationship between the client and the therapist. While these methods may be worthwhile, the amount of time and cost necessary to achieve results presents an insurmountable obstacle.

In contrast, Conflict Analysis directly helps you identify what matters to you, bypassing the complexities and subjectivity of therapists’ interpretations. Conflict Analysis’ network of diagnostic tasks helps users recognize patterns of dealing with conflict. Upon conclusion, the Feedback Report organizes components of these different tasks, piecing together a composite dialectic that pinpoints the client’s unique personal and interpersonal patterns. With Conflict Analysis’ diagnostic inventory, the Relational Modality Evaluation Scale, findings are cross-validated with the creativity-based tasks, demonstrating behavioral patterns as qualifiable and quantifiable phenomena.

Conflict Analysis shifts the context of the therapeutic encounter towards self-awareness training. The client is empowered to take action to grow. While the therapeutic relationship is useful, and in certain circumstances, the therapist will need to take more specific leadership, Conflict Analysis clarifies the role of the therapist, helping detect areas of focus and tools for improvement.

Conflict Analysis in the Classroom

Conflict Analysis provides the missing link in education: helping students learn about themselves. Conflict Analysis presents a new model of emotional education that is designed to empower students with self- knowledge, while also providing them a wide conceptual understanding. The program allows students to recognize their emotional patterns, tracing how they deal with managing conflict, but also helps them recognize how different cultures present alternative norms, or systems of resolving conflict. For too long, students’ emotional needs have been kept outside of the classroom. Through Conflict Analysis, we now have a safe, secure, and meaningful way for students to learn about themselves.

In partnership with the Museum of the Creative Process, we offer a range of in-person and online learning opportunities.

The Institute of Conflict Analysis, the Conflict Analysis Self-Awareness Training, and the Museum of the Creative Process are a hub of related projects that share focus on transforming psychology into a more dynamic, humanistic, and moral science. The Museum of the Creative Process is a center of creative discovery, innovative research, and intellectual retreat. Located in historic Manchester Village on the estate of the Wilburton Inn, the Museum brings together a global array of both modern and traditional creativity.
